"Mouthfilling with lots of pepper, tobacco and garrigue notes. Finishes with a pleasantly gamy hint. Drink Now."

Serge Seignon produces this wine in the Luberon Mountains in Vaucluse, Provence near the town of Bonnieux. It is the estate wine for Chateau Les Eydins. Made from old vines, this Carignan is a rarety, particularly in this part of Provence. Aged for 24 months in barrique.

Dark violet hues, after some exposure to air, spice nose of pepper, lavender and mint flow up. Deep black flavors of licorice, coffee and chocolate surround black cherry and blackberry flavors. Finishes with a nice peppery taste. A full and complex wine that is well structured for aging up to ten years.

Pairs with meat dishes of lamb and beef or full-flavored cheeses.
